The Sunrise of Sajik Park |

A variety of trees and flowering plants are a source of pride for Sajik Park, the first park laid out in Gwangju. An octagonal pavilion serves as an observation platform from which you can get a view of the whole city. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom at the gate to the park. The shade of the locust trees in spring and the scarlet-tinged leaves in the fall enchant visitors. You may want to go for a walk down a winding mountain path. Binwoldang and Fog on the Hwangnyong River |

Bingwoldang is a lecture hall in Wolbongseowon (a private school) that produced famous scholars and eminent statesmen during the Joseon dynasty, including Gidaeseung, Baksang, Baksun, Gimjangsaeng, Gimjib, and others. Pochung Temple and Daechon Plain |

Pochung temple was built to praise Go Gyeong-Myeong and his two sons who gathered 7,000 patriotic soldiers when the 1592 Japanese invasion of Korea took place.
